Job summary

Grace, a leading global supplier of catalysts and engineered materials, seeks a Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer for one of our Curtis Bay 24/7 chemical plants in Baltimore, MD. You will embed with operations and collaborate with maintenance, process, and production engineers to ensure asset availability and safe, on-spec production.

Based on your 3+ years in process manufacturing, you will develop maintenance plans, perform RCFA/FMEA, and support outages while upholding GMP and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM Engineering field.
• 3+ years Maintenance/Engineering experience in a process manufacturing environment.
• 24/7 Manufacturing experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• Experience in Food, Heavy Industry and/or Chemical manufacturing using pumps, grinders, rotary equipment, or dryers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage equipment maintenance plans for area equipment.
• Update Preventive Maintenance Plan (PM), Condition Monitoring Routes in SAP.
• Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)/Failure Mode Elimination Analysis (FMEA).
• Assist with emergencies and unplanned breakdowns.
• Identify critical spares and recommended spare parts inventory levels.
• Identify and scope potential reliability improvement projects.
• Contribute to maintenance planning and execution for outages. Participate in GMP.

The Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer is embedded with operationsat one of our 24/7 chemical manufacturing plants within the Curtis Bay site,working crossfunctionally with the maintenance supervisor, process engineer and production engineers. The Maintenance and Reliability team is responsiblefor providing world-class asset availability enabling our plant to deliver products to customers safely, within specifications, and on time.

The Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer is on-site in Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD and reports to the Senior Maintenance and Reliability Leader.

• Develop and manage equipment maintenance plans for area equipment.
• Update Preventative Maintenance Plan (PM), Condition Monitoring Routes in SAP
• PerformRoot Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)/Failure Mode Elimination Analysis (FMEA)
• Assist with emergencies and unplanned breakdowns
• Identify critical spares and recommended spare parts inventory levels
• Identify and scope potential reliability improvement projects
• Contribute to maintenance planning and execution for outages. Participate in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Physical Requirements and Environment

• Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials
• Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
• Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM Engineering field
• 3+ years Maintenance/Engineering experience in a process manufacturing environment
• 24/7 Manufacturing experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office
• Experience in Food, Heavy Industry and/or Chemical manufacturing using pumps, grinders, rotary equipment, or dryers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAP Preventative Maintenance module
• Experience with Engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, etc.
• Experience interpretating condition monitoring findings from various tools such as Vibration Analysis, Ultrasound, Oil Analysis and Infrared Thermography
