Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro in Geismar, LA is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee a multi-shift operation, supervising 20-30 hourly staff plus up to 30 seasonal associates. You will assign work, train hires, and ensure safety and quality while meeting production goals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent supervisory experience, 2-5 years in manufacturing, strong leadership, problem solving, and bilingual Spanish/English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent supervisory experience.
• 2-5 years manufacturing experience.
• Experience in supervision and associate development and safety.
• Experience in manufacturing/distribution/inventory controls.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement, safety, quality, and customer service.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a multi-shift operation with 20-30 hourly staff and up to 30 seasonal associates.
• Assign work, train, interview, hire, evaluate performance, and manage schedules.
• Enforce safety programs and company policies.
• Ensure quality and productivity within budget and material availability.
• Prepare logs and reports; assist in budget development.
• Operate equipment alongside the workforce.
• Support Plant Manager and lead special projects.
• Set plant goals and drive production achievements.
