Job summary

CRH in Milledgeville, GA is seeking a Plant Supervisor to assist the Superintendent with daily operations, safety, quality and maintenance coordination. You will help ensure up-time of process equipment and efficient production in a compliant environment.

Responsibilities include supervising shift activities, coordinating maintenance, administering safety programs, analyzing tests, and maintaining strong customer relations while meeting contract requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to recognize hazards and implement safety measures.
• Ability to plan and direct the work of others.
• Ability to perform, analyze and interpret laboratory tests for operational adjustments.
• Good interpersonal skills at all levels.
• Knowledge of processes involved in the FGD Dewatering Operation.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and listening skills.
• Proficient with standard software e.g. spreadsheets, databases, word processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent in managing operation details and act as plant lead in their absence.
• Lead by example in safety and ensure safe work practices.
• Manage daily plant operations and keep Superintendent informed.
• Identify and resolve plant issues and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Provide resources to maintenance staff as needed.
• Ensure proper sampling, testing protocols and reporting.
• Maintain positive customer relations and meet contract requirements.
• Oversee contracted workers and ensure quality work.
