Job summary

Granite Construction seeks an experienced plant oversight professional to manage cost and engineering activities, ensuring efficient plant operations and adherence to regulatory standards. You will lead budgeting, capital project design, and productivity improvements while maintaining safety and compliance across facilities.

The role requires strong knowledge of materials business, experience with asphalt plants, and the ability to engage with agencies and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of construction materials field experience.
• Strong knowledge of materials business and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Hot Mix Asphalt Plants.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual operating budget preparation.
• Analyze and design capital improvement projects to add value.
• Develop and analyze efficiency reports to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Conduct tailgate safety meetings.
• Monitor rolling stock utilization and operational management.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee daily production and loadout test results to meet product specs.
• Collaborate with industry experts on critical business issues.
