Mitsubishi Chemical Group (MCGC) seeks an Operations Manager for the MMA Plant in Memphis. Responsibilities include leading operations and logistics, implementing Manufacturing Excellence, and ensuring safety, reliability and regulatory compliance across the site.

The role requires ten years of manufacturing experience and a bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering, with strong leadership and analytical skills to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ten years of manufacturing experience and a bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Strong leadership with ability to plan, organize and control a multi‑unit, high hazard chemical facility.
• Deep knowledge of industrial engineering, labor relations, accounting principles, plant maintenance, materials handling and safety regulations.
• Experience with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent oral and written communication with senior management and shop floor teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage MMA Plant operations and logistics to meet on-site safety, regulatory and company requirements.
• Plan and manage operations to achieve on-time output while controlling budget and coordinating with Maintenance, Engineering and S&OP teams.
• Lead Manufacturing Excellence initiatives to drive site goals and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the team maintains high competency through training systems and documented procedures.
• Maintain positive employee relations and a strong safety culture across the site.
• Oversee cost control and optimization of safety, production, shipping, receiving, quality, planning and maintenance.
