Overview:

FGF Brands is growing, and we need more talented Mechanics to join our team!

As a team member, the Manufacturing Mechanic maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs high-volume food manufacturing equipment, prioritizing personnel and food safety at all times.

• Starting Wage = $34.75/hour plus performance raises and a $1/hour shift differential for hours worked between 6:00pm and 6:00am.

Location: Brownsburg, IN

Schedules Available:

• Nights 6:00pm-6:00am with built-in overtime (48-hour weeks).
• Days 6:00am-6:00pm with built-in overtime (48-hour weeks).

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to mechanical issues in the production environment.
• Complete maintenance projects, including preventive maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
• Write parts requests, complete work orders, and draft corrective work orders.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Perform building inspections and routine checks.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Perform Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures when necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a maintenance mechanic environment.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, and sensors like photoeyes.
• Knowledge of conveyance systems is a strong plus.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with CMMS work order systems.
• Food manufacturing experience and understanding of FDA requirements are advantageous.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to understand blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfort working at heights using ladders or scissor lifts.
• Decision-making capabilities.
• Knowledge of welding, machining, plumbing, pipefitting, and electricity.
• Ability to work around strong magnets.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
