Job summary

UFP Site Built in Berlin, NJ, is seeking a Plant Manager to lead sawmill operations and ensure safe, efficient production of lumber products.

The role oversees production, maintenance, quality control, inventory, and workforce performance while driving continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and cost control. You will report to the Regional Director of Operations and help develop schedules, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of work experience as a production manager or equivalent.
• Forklift operator certification is required.
• Working knowledge of shipping truck capacities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee production, maintenance, quality control, inventory management and workforce performance.
• Drive safety, productivity, and cost-containment improvements.
• Coordinate production activities between shifts and functions; manage schedules.
• Prepare reports and monitor performance against budget and goals.
