Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial plant environment.
• 5+ years of experience in Driver, operations, distribution or quality roles.
• At least three years of experience leading and developing employees.
• Willingness to work in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for a team of entry-level production employees to meet customer demand.
• Coordinate daily production activities and distribution requirements, including local delivery routes and shuttle scheduling.
• Lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety initiatives to meet governmental and environmental regulations; ensure training.
• Monitor production performance and manpower to maintain efficiency and develop contingencies.
• Identify operational challenges and lead improvement efforts related to production processes, shift scheduling, and training; report progress and findings to plant management.
• Manage and continuously identify ways to reduce plant operating costs through Operational Excellence strategies.
