Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Houston is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to lead entry-level production staff, coordinate daily production and distribution, and drive reliability, compliance, quality and safety initiatives. This role serves as the Primary Quality Assurance Representative and ensures training and records are maintained in line with safety programs.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (bachelor’s degree preferred), 3+ years in an industrial plant setting, and 2+

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years in an industrial plant environment.
• 2+ years managing and developing employees.
• Experience working and/or managing in a union environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for entry-level production employees to meet customer demand.
• Coordinate production to fulfill daily distribution requirements, including delivery routes and shuttle needs.
• Help support daily distribution requirements and lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety programs.
• Serve as Primary Quality Assurance Representative, maintaining and reviewing compliance documentation.
• Ensure team training and adherence to Linde Safety and Quality systems and coordinates quality and safety training for employees and maintain records.
• Monitor production/manpower levels to ensure efficiency and assist with contingency planning.
• Identify issues, lead improvement plans, and report activities to plant management.
