Job summary

JMJ PHILLIP is seeking a Plant Manager to lead all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will build high-performing teams, optimize operations, and collaborate with customers and suppliers to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Experience leading manufacturing or industrial operations in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and operational best practices.
  • Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and key metrics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities
Plant Operations
  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor plant performance and drive initiatives to optimize overall operations.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, managers, and production personnel.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support employee engagement, performance management, and professional development.
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular safety reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
Financial Management
  • Manage plant budgets, operating expenses, and overall financial performance.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining quality and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and prepare operational reports for leadership.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure products consistently meet customer and quality requirements.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Implement strategies that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
    Customer & Business Support
    • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met.
    • Support production planning, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.
    • Resolve operational challenges while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
    Prerequisites
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
    • Experience leading manufacturing or industrial operations in a management role.
    • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and operational best practices.
    • Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and key operational metrics.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
    • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and project‑management abilities.
    • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
    Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
    • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
    • OSHA Safety Certification
    • Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
