Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, business or a related field.
  • Seven to 10 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations.
  • Three or more years of experience in plant management, plant leadership or multi-line operations management.
  • Experience overseeing multiple production lines and production teams simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing safety, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing operating budgets, analyzing production data and driving key performance indicators.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, establish accountability and drive performance.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational and decision‑making skills.
  • Experience supporting or leading capital projects and equipment improvement initiatives preferred.
  • Ability to work full time on‑site in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with regular presence on the production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations across multiple production lines, ensuring production activities are coordinated and aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish production schedules, targets and KPIs while monitoring throughput, yield, efficiency and overall plant performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction and operational efficiency.
  • Own sitewide safety and environmental compliance programs and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory and industry standards.
  • Maintain consistent quality control processes and ensure finished products meet customer and company specifications.
  • Lead, coach and develop line managers, supervisors and production leaders while building accountability and bench strength throughout the organization.
  • Develop and manage the plant operating budget, monitoring labor, material, maintenance and operating costs against established targets.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime, reliability and production capacity.
  • Support capital planning and execution, including equipment upgrades, process improvements and facility expansion projects.
  • Partner cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, sales and other departments to align raw material availability, production capacity and finished goods requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting on production, safety, quality, costs and operational performance to senior leadership.
  • Identify and address operational issues quickly, escalating significant concerns and developing corrective action plans as needed.
