Job summary

Russell Standard in Mercer, PA is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the asphalt emulsions manufacturing facility. The role directs plant personnel, oversees safety, maintenance, and production budgets to deliver quality products.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in construction or manufacturing, with leadership experience and a solid understanding of engineering concepts, and a proven ability to optimize processes and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three (3) years in management and/or leadership position.
• Minimum of five (5) years in construction, manufacturing, or production.
• Basic understanding of chemical and mechanical engineering.
• Solid math and reading skills, and the ability to understand technical manuals.
• Aptitude for learning new tasks and skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises all plant personnel.
• Determines personnel schedules and coordination of work.
• Ensures product compliance with all company and all governmental agency (local, state, and federal) regulations.
• Ensures environmental compliance with all company and all governmental agency (local, state, and federal) regulations.
• Plans and oversees all preventative maintenance, maintenance projects, repairs, and contractors.
• Works to achieve annual budget and control plant costs.
• Follows and promotes all safety policies and practices.
• All other duties as assigned.
