Job summary

Russell Standard is seeking a Plant Operator to support daily production and plant operations at our Akron, OH facility. You will open/close valves, perform preventive maintenance, inspect tanks, operate equipment, weigh trucks, and assist with emulsions loading while following safety policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, solid math/reading skills, and the ability to learn new tasks. A minimum of 2 years in production/maintenance or related oil and gas exposure is preferred;

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Solid math and reading skills; ability to understand technical manuals.
• Two (2) years production/maintenance experience OR oil and gas industry experience OR completion of mechanical/industrial trade school program.
• Aptitude for learning new tasks and skills.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes valves for product transfers.
• Performs general preventative maintenance of pump and valve systems.
• Operates equipment.
• Inspects tanks periodically.
• Troubleshoots mechanics of plant systems.
• Weighs trucks, pre- and post-loading.
• Loads emulsion trucks.
• General Labor.
• Follows all safety policies and practices.
• All other duties as assigned.
