Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Plant Manager for the Marshalltown Pork facility. This salaried, full-time role requires directing production, quality and cost controls while meeting schedules and delivery dates on the 1st shift.

You will oversee supervisors, ensure safety and labor policy compliance, review operations with management, and maintain production records. Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills are essential to drive performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of production and supervisors to meet volume, quality, cost, schedules and delivery dates.
• Ensure adherence to health and welfare procedures for all employees in the department.
• Analyze operations with management to identify reasons for cost standards not being met and apply corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate production records.
• Maintain good employee relations and compliance with labor contracts; manage disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate production scheduling using company systems.
• Meet customer requirements and target delivery dates.
• Set performance goals and accountability with plant managers; participate in relevant meetings.
• Accountable to the General Manager for late load claims, shortages, weight deficits and overtime.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Reports to: Plant General Manager

Salaried Grade: Type of Position: Hours: 1st shift

Duties: Direct management and supervisors with respect to production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates. Ensure adherence to procedures that promote the health and welfare of all employees in the department. With appropriate management personnel, study operations where cost standards are not being met to determine causes and apply corrective measures. Arrange to have appropriate production records prepared and maintained. Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions; take proper and judicious disciplinary measures when required. Utilizing corporate scheduling. Continually meeting customer requirements. In concert with individual plant managers, establish accountabilities and goals used for performance evaluation. Attend and schedule appropriate meetings. Accountable to General Manager for late load claims, product shortages, weight deficits, pounds per employee hour, overtime hours, etc. Perform various other duties as needed.
