Job summary

Responsibilities

• Direct management of production volume, quality, cost, and schedules.

• Prepare and maintain production records.
• Maintain labor relations and enforce labor contracts; disciplinary actions when needed.
• Use corporate scheduling and meet customer requirements.
• Set accountability and goals with plant managers; participate in meetings.
• Report to General Manager on load claims, shortages, overtime, etc.
• Perform other duties as needed.

PLANT MANAGER

Job title: PLANT MANAGER

Reports to: Plant General Manager

Salaried Grade: Type of Position: Hours: 1st shift

Exempt Full-time Flexible as needed

Duties: Direct management and supervisors with respect to production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates. Ensure adherence to procedures that promote the health and welfare of all employees in the department. With appropriate management personnel, study operations where cost standards are not being met to determine causes and apply corrective measures. Arrange to have appropriate production records prepared and maintained. Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions; take proper and judicious disciplinary measures when required. Utilizing corporate scheduling. Continually meeting customer requirements. In concert with individual plant managers, establish accountabilities and goals used for performance evaluation. Attend and schedule appropriate meetings. Accountable to General Manager for late load claims, product shortages, weight deficits, pounds per employee hour, overtime hours, etc. Perform various other duties as needed.
