Job summary

CDP Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee all daily operations of the Toledo-area manufacturing facility. You will drive safety, productivity, quality, and budget controls while leading a team of department managers and supervisors.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of leadership in manufacturing, strong Lean/Six Sigma background, and expertise with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle). A Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s/MBA a plus.
  • 7–10 years of progressive leadership in manufacturing.
  • 3–5 years in roles like Plant Manager / Operations Manager.
  • Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing and TPS; Six Sigma certification preferred.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Plant Manager to oversee all daily operations of our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safety, maximizing productivity, driving quality control, and managing the budget for the plant. The ideal candidate is a strong, collaborative leader with a proven track record in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Facilities: Direct and manage maintenance, warehousing, and logistics, to meet or exceed business goals.
  • Safety & Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture by strictly enforcing OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and conducting regular safety audits.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the annual plant budget, control labor and material costs, and drive cost-reduction initiatives to improve profitability.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control systems to ensure products meet stringent industry standards and customer specifications, minimizing scrap and rework.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline workflows.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of department managers, supervisos, and production staff; foster an engaging and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s/MBA is a plus).
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 to 5 years specifically as a Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, Area Manager, Superintendent, Business Unit Manager, Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing, TPS (Toyota Production Systems), Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills with a strong ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary with an annual performance bonus.
  • Base: $200,000 - $225,000
  • Bonus: $40,000 - $50,000
  • Total: $240,000 - $275,000
