Position Description:

This position is responsible for managing production schedules, quality standards, ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, and organizing operations to improve efficiency, eliminate mistakes, increase throughput, and control costs.

Requirements:
  1. Manage resources to meet production, safety, and quality objectives
  2. Manage and develop shift supervisors and department leads
  3. Assess skill gaps and recommend/provide training to ensure employees are competent in procedures and policies, and plant objectives are met
  4. Oversee all production activities to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards
  5. Responsible for the safety performance of the plant and active participation in safety programs
  6. Address and resolve operational and personnel issues, including quality, equipment downtime, labor shortages, and material availability
  7. Encourage effective communication between departments, shifts, and employees through regular updates
  8. Assist in hiring, discipline, and termination processes
  9. Resolve employee morale issues
  10. Administer company policies consistently and escalate as necessary
  11. Design sustainable processes for material flow, resource allocation, and value creation to meet goals
  12. Implement new processes, train supervisors and leaders, and create training materials
  13. Measure process performance at various levels
  14. Use data to continuously improve process performance
Experience & Skills:
  1. 7-10 years of manufacturing experience
  2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written
  3. Ability to quickly understand and absorb new information
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and critical thinking
  6. Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, and testing
  7. Ability to learn professional literature and apply best practices
  8. Understanding of enterprise goals related to quality, delivery, cost, and growth
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered
  • US Citizenship or C1 Permanent Alien status
