WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

Lead the site to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash initiatives

Drive leadership in the application of Lean Principles and Methods

Act as a change agent and drive campus toward improved waste elimination, in manufacturing and business processes.

Provide strategy and direction to Value Stream Manager to meet production plans.

Partner with functional partners (central planning, quality, lean, safety, finance, HR) for site activities

Establish site Transformation Plans and lead site to the execution and strategy development

Create an environment of continuous improvement, including cost effective procedures, systems, tooling, and equipment to continually improve manufacturing productivity.

Be responsible to assure strategic plans are in place for talent acquisition, employee development and people management are in place.

Develop open lines of communication to continually monitor employee attitudes and concerns, and implement appropriate actions with input from Human Resources.

Coordinate and drive activities that respond to customer and market needs through contact with marketing departments and district sales offices.

Convert strategy deployment goals into Kaizen team actions – lead and follow-up on the conversion of batch processing to lean practices.

Work with nVent leadership to identify opportunities, execute action plans, follow-up and assure achievement of enterprise goals.

Develop annual plan for multiple business units focusing on the Value Stream.

YOU HAVE:

A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing or related business field is preferred

Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a site manager and managing an organization with more than 100 people

Ideally 10+ years manufacturing experience

Proven record of Lean implementation and creating a lean culture

Fabrication experience in metal stamping/pressing, painting and assembly highly preferred

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods along with the flexibility and adaptability to accept, support, and deploy new processes in a changing business environment

Skill in project management and organization
