WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Lead the site to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash initiatives
  • Drive leadership in the application of Lean Principles and Methods
  • Act as a change agent and drive campus toward improved waste elimination in manufacturing and business processes
  • Provide strategy and direction to Value Stream Manager to meet production plans
  • Partner with functional departments (central planning, quality, lean, safety, finance, HR) for site activities
  • Establish site Transformation Plans and lead execution and strategy development
  • Create an environment of continuous improvement, including cost-effective procedures, systems, tooling, and equipment to improve manufacturing productivity
  • Ensure strategic plans are in place for talent acquisition, employee development, and people management
  • Develop open communication channels to monitor employee attitudes and concerns, and implement appropriate actions with HR input
  • Coordinate activities responding to customer and market needs through marketing and sales contacts
  • Translate strategy deployment goals into Kaizen team actions and lead lean practice implementation
  • Work with nVent leadership to identify opportunities, execute plans, and achieve enterprise goals
  • Develop annual plans for multiple business units focusing on the Value Stream
YOU HAVE:
  • A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience as a site manager managing an organization with over 100 people
  • Ideally 10+ years manufacturing experience
  • Proven record of Lean implementation and fostering a lean culture
  • Fabrication experience in metal stamping/pressing, painting, and assembly is highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods, with adaptability to support new processes
  • Skill in project management and organization
