WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Lead the site to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash initiatives
- Drive leadership in the application of Lean Principles and Methods
- Act as a change agent and drive campus toward improved waste elimination in manufacturing and business processes
- Provide strategy and direction to Value Stream Manager to meet production plans
- Partner with functional departments (central planning, quality, lean, safety, finance, HR) for site activities
- Establish site Transformation Plans and lead execution and strategy development
- Create an environment of continuous improvement, including cost-effective procedures, systems, tooling, and equipment to improve manufacturing productivity
- Ensure strategic plans are in place for talent acquisition, employee development, and people management
- Develop open communication channels to monitor employee attitudes and concerns, and implement appropriate actions with HR input
- Coordinate activities responding to customer and market needs through marketing and sales contacts
- Translate strategy deployment goals into Kaizen team actions and lead lean practice implementation
- Work with nVent leadership to identify opportunities, execute plans, and achieve enterprise goals
- Develop annual plans for multiple business units focusing on the Value Stream
YOU HAVE:
- A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, or related field is preferred
- Minimum 5+ years' experience as a site manager managing an organization with over 100 people
- Ideally 10+ years manufacturing experience
- Proven record of Lean implementation and fostering a lean culture
- Fabrication experience in metal stamping/pressing, painting, and assembly is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods, with adaptability to support new processes
- Skill in project management and organization
