Job summary

Premier Staffing Solution is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee all manufacturing operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, materials management, safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related field.
  • 5–7 years of manufacturing leadership experience (Operations Manager or higher).
  • Experience in Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and/or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean principles, and operational metrics.

  • Lead daily plant operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, and materials.
  • Partner with leadership to achieve operational and business goals.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, process improvement, value stream mapping, root cause analysis).
  • Improve productivity, quality, throughput, and cost performance.
  • Analyze operational metrics and support capital improvement initiatives.

Job description

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, materials management, safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This role ensures operational excellence by meeting production goals, driving efficiency, developing teams, and aligning plant performance with business objectives.

Experience in an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environment is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Operations
  • Lead daily plant operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, and materials.
  • Partner with leadership to achieve operational and business goals.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, process improvement, value stream mapping, root cause analysis).
  • Improve productivity, quality, throughput, and cost performance.
  • Analyze operational metrics and support capital improvement initiatives.
Safety & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and lead incident investigations as needed.
  • Maintain quality standards and resolve production issues with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including productivity, scrap, rework, and on-time delivery.
Leadership
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support workforce planning and succession development.
Financial & Strategic Management
  • Manage plant budgets, labor efficiency, and operating costs.
  • Support long-term operational planning, capacity growth, and equipment investments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing leadership experience (Operations Manager or higher).
  • Experience in Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and/or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean principles, and operational metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree (MBA, Engineering, Operations, or related field).
  • Experience in electrical, mechanical, fabrication, or similar industrial manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety program implementation.
