Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Demonstrated P&L, budgeting, and financial management experience.
• Hands-on leadership style with proximity to plant-floor operations.
• Experience in metals manufacturing or related complex industrial environment preferred.
• U.S. citizenship or green card holder required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
• Manage plant financial performance, including P&L, budgeting, operating costs, and capital planning.
• Lead and develop manufacturing leaders while building a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Drive improvements in throughput, labor efficiency, equipment performance, quality, and overall manufacturing performance.
• Ensure adherence to established manufacturing processes, quality requirements, safety standards, and operating procedures.
• Evaluate staffing and capacity requirements to support production schedules and customer commitments.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving operational and financial results.
• Partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to execute business objectives and support long-term growth.

Movement Search and Delivery is working with a leading aerospace manufacturer in the Portland, Oregon area to identify and evaluate a Director of Operations.

About the Role:

This is a senior plant leadership opportunity with responsibility for the performance of a complex manufacturing operation. The Plant Manager will have significant ownership of plant financial and operational performance while maintaining a visible, hands-on presence on the manufacturing floor.

The ideal candidate is a proven manufacturing leader who can balance the financial and strategic responsibilities of running a business with the day-to-day leadership required to drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.

What You Will Do:

What You Need to Succeed:

• Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to remain closely connected to plant-floor operations.
• Experience in metals manufacturing, foundry, casting, forging, specialty metals, heat treatment, or a similarly complex industrial manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
