Plant Manager – Industrial Production / Service Operations

Linden, NJ

Onsite, Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–4:30 PM

$110,000 base salary + performance bonus

About the Role

Seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead daily operations at a large, fast‑paced industrial production facility serving the healthcare and service sectors. This position requires a hands‑on leader who can drive performance, ensure high‑quality output, and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

You’ll oversee a team of two Assistant Plant Managers, up to five Production Supervisors, and all production employees, responsible for maintaining operational standards, hitting productivity goals, and ensuring exceptional product quality and customer satisfaction.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and leads by example.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
  • Direct day‑to‑day plant operations to achieve production and quality goals.
  • Ensure output, efficiency, and productivity meet or exceed established standards.
  • Review and analyze daily performance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and plant staff.
  • Manage hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain staffing logistics including attendance, vacations, and time‑off requests.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
Quality & Customer Satisfaction
  • Maintain the highest standards of product quality and service responsiveness.
  • Partner with operations and service teams to resolve client issues quickly and effectively.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and safety.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA, labor laws, and all workplace safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment across all departments.
  • Promptly report and document any accidents or incidents; oversee corrective actions.
Process Optimization & Performance
  • Set clear performance expectations and track KPIs across production teams.
  • Develop and execute plans to reduce waste, control costs, and optimize labor utilization.
  • Evaluate reports, audits, and operational data to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of management experience running a production or service‑oriented plant.
  • At least 3 years in a production, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and deliver measurable performance results.
  • Strong understanding of production workflows and operational systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic familiarity with maintenance management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on leadership approach.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
