Position Overview:
The Corrugated Plant Manager job will oversee operations at our corrugated packaging manufacturing facility. The Corrugated Plant Manager job will be responsible for ensuring the plant operates efficiently, meets production and quality targets, and adheres to safety and environmental standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of corrugated packaging processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership:
- Direct and manage all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve production goals, improve efficiency, and minimize downtime.
Team Management:- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and address staffing needs, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
Production Planning:- Oversee production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to align production with customer requirements.
Safety and Compliance:- Ensure all plant operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
- Monitor environmental compliance and promote sustainability initiatives.
Financial Management:- Manage the plant’s budget, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on operational performance.
Continuous Improvement:- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Identify and implement initiatives to enhance productivity, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in plant management or a senior operations role within the corrugated packaging or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a production facility.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, business management, or a related field preferred.
- Advanced certifications in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of corrugated manufacturing processes, machinery, and quality standards.
