Job summary

A global food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee operations at their facility in Western Ohio. This role requires more than 10 years of leadership experience in food manufacturing, strong continuous improvement expertise, and a stable job history. The manager will handle budget responsibilities, ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations, and develop employee training programs. Competitive base salary of $165-175k with annual bonus potential and relocation assistance provided.

Kinsa is recruiting for a: Plant Manager

Location: Western Ohio

Our client is a global manufacturer of fruit preparations used in a variety of food & beverage applications. They are looking to add a Plant Manager to their plant about 90 minutes NW of Columbus, Ohio. You will be responsible for overseeing all functions related to the facility, including operations, maintenance, quality, shipping/receiving, HR, safety, and materials management. Ensuring high-quality, cost-effective production that meets customer expectations, your leadership will be critical to the plant’s ongoing success.

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a food manufacturing operation. Excellent people & leadership skills. Expert knowledge of Continuous Improvement (TPS/Lean) practices. Must have a very stable job history - long job tenures.
  • $165-175k base salary. 20% annual bonus potential.

Key Responsibilities and Goals
  • Manage the Plant operations budget, daily and long term, controlling departmental costs and understanding financial impacts.
  • Develop and oversee employee training and development programs to meet business needs. Implement initiatives that strengthen morale, support retention, and maintain a non-union environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations while providing a safe workplace.
  • Maintain robust quality systems to consistently deliver high-quality products.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and meet service expectations. Represent the company professionally within the community and local business environment.
  • Deliver on key performance targets (OEE, TNQ, TCR, OTIF, costs, productivity, etc.).
Competencies Needed for Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Food Science/Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive management experience in food manufacturing or processing. Must have a very stable job history - long job tenures.
  • Expert knowledge of Continuous improvement (TPS/Lean) Manufacturing practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Proven analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient in Windows applications. SAP experience preferred.
