Job summary

Wheatland Tube, LLC, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Plant Manager in Warren, OH to lead overall plant operations, drive safety, lean manufacturing, and cost improvements. This onsite role collaborates with HR, Safety, Finance, Sales, and Maintenance to improve yields and production performance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing, a technical or business degree, and strong ISO knowledge, with a proven track record in delivering results.

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and people development skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads and promotes safe work practices according to regulatory requirements and safety policies.
• Develops and executes monthly operating plans, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
• Builds a performance-based culture focused on accountability, safety, metrics, and operational excellence.
• Provides clear direction and communicates goals across plant departments.
• Reviews daily operating reports to resolve manufacturing and maintenance issues while minimizing costs.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Formulates production policies impacting scheduling, quality, cost, and efficiency.
• Leads new manufacturing initiatives by applying lean principles and optimizing resources.
• Hires, coaches, develops, and evaluates employees to ensure strong leadership and morale.
• Delegates work effectively while ensuring safety and quality standards.
