Job summary

Wheatland Tube in Blytheville, AR is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team in a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment. You will supervise technicians, troubleshoot complex machine issues, and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial maintenance with 2+ years in leadership, strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and familiarity with CMMS and MS

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel manufacturing or heavy industry.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience leading a maintenance team.
• Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field, preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience, preferred.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong commitment to safety with knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety best practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians to support efficient daily operations.
• Oversee and perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment, including mills, welders, cutting systems, and material handling equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production disruptions, coordinating emergency repairs as needed.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of required components.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance records.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support seamless operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
