We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong leader who can manage teams effectively while optimizing plant performance and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Here are the key responsibilities typically associated with this role:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Proven leader that has been a part of a start up or site expansion, end to end.
• Oversee daily operations of the plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining best in class quality and safety standards.
• Implement and manage systems for effective plant management, including production scheduling, staff management, and inventory control.
• Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and operators, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Utilize MRP system and business management software for tracking production metrics and managing supply chain processes.
• Develop and execute strategies for continuous improvement in operational efficiency and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with supply chain management to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished products.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to streamline processes and eliminate waste.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• Proven experience (8-10 years) in plant management or operations management within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of systems related to production management, supply chain management, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in Infor or similar enterprise resource planning software; knowledge of Visual Manufacturing a plus.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Strong analytical skills to assess operational performance and implement improvements.
• Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders including team members, suppliers, and upper management.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on key objectives.
• Knowledge of business principles like budgeting, strategic planning, waste reduction, resource management, and culture driver.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE: 8-10 years of Plant Management experience preferred.
