Plant Manager – Precast & Prestressed Concrete

Location: Atlanta, GA

About the Opportunity

A well-established precast and prestressed concrete manufacturer based in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at their concrete manufacturing facility.

The company supplies General Contractors, subcontractors, private developers, and government agencies with high-quality precast and prestressed concrete products for major infrastructure and civil construction projects, including roadways, bridges, transportation infrastructure, and other large-scale civil projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plant, production, or operations professional with a background in precast concrete, ready-mix, concrete manufacturing, construction materials, or heavy civil operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day operations of the precast/prestressed concrete manufacturing plant.
• Lead, manage, and develop production, yard, maintenance, and plant personnel.
• Plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet customer and project requirements.
• Monitor production output, quality, efficiency, and costs.
• Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate raw material deliveries, inventory, equipment, and plant resources.
• Work closely with project management, sales, estimating, logistics, and customers to meet delivery schedules.
• Manage plant maintenance and ensure equipment remains operational and safe.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate production, inventory, safety, and operational records.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
• Ensure a safe, organized, and productive working environment.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Plant Manager, Production Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Experience within precast concrete, prestressed concrete, ready-mix, concrete products, or construction materials strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of concrete manufacturing and production processes.
• Experience managing hourly production and field/yard personnel.
• Strong knowledge of plant safety, quality control, equipment, and maintenance.
• Ability to manage production schedules and meet demanding delivery deadlines.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with General Contractors, subcontractors, developers, or government/civil projects is a plus.
• Heavy civil, infrastructure, roadway, or bridge project experience is highly desirable.
• $75,000 – $95,000 base salary, depending on experience
