Quality Control Technician (QC) – Precast & Prestressed Concrete

A well-established precast and prestressed concrete manufacturer based in Atlanta, GA is looking for a Quality Control Technician to join their team.
The company supplies General Contractors, subcontractors, private developers, and government agencies with precast and prestressed concrete products used across major roadway, bridge, transportation, and civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality control inspections and testing of precast and prestressed concrete products.
- Monitor concrete production to ensure products meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct testing of concrete materials, including sampling and documenting results.
- Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process and identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Ensure products comply with applicable specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate quality control records, test results, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Work closely with production and plant management to resolve quality issues.
- Assist with investigating and correcting non-conforming products.
- Monitor raw materials and production processes for consistency and quality.
- Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the plant.
- Ensure testing and inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality control policies.
- Assist with preparing products for shipment and ensuring they meet required specifications before leaving the facility.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in quality control, concrete testing, construction materials, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of concrete production and testing is highly desirable.
- Experience with precast or prestressed concrete is a strong advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/plant environment.
- Able to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with production teams.
- ACI certification or other relevant concrete testing certifications is a plus, but not required.
- $40,000 – $50,000 base salary, depending on experience
