Job summary

WM is hiring a Plant Maintenance Technician in Maryland for a role focused on keeping our recycling plant running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment like balers and conveyors, and repair components to minimize downtime, reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

2 years of relevant work experience.
Be over 18 years of age.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Ability to perform physical requirements including lifting >50 pounds.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose/repair major equipment (balers, conveyors, motors, pumps, etc.).
Backlog management: Daily Equipment Inspections (DEI).
Adjust procedures to meet production schedules and communicate needs to management.
Inspect third-party repairs and rebuilds for quality.
Recommend improvements to boost production and equipment performance.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and work with limited supervision.
