Job summary
WM (Waste Management) is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on plant equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, repairing machinery, and ensuring reliable operation of boilers, steam systems, water treatment, air handling, conveyors, and incinerator equipment.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years of related experience.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) equivalent.
- 3 or more years related experience and/or training, demonstrating the ability to identify and perform repairs that are needed and to ensure scheduled production run.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose equipment and perform repairs to maintain operational readiness.
- Conduct preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance on plant machinery.
- Maintain boiler, steam and water treatment systems, air handling, conveyors and related equipment.
- Maintain steam turbine/generator and air pollution control devices.
- Perform light electrical maintenance and PLC/robotics troubleshooting.
- Document work orders and maintain safety standards.
- Assist with other related duties as required or directed.
