Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Georgia. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated to repair and maintain plant equipment, conveyors, shakers, pumps, and gearboxes.

Position includes preventive maintenance and repair of aggregate plant processing equipment and mobile equipment. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, 3 pm–1 am, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• 1 year of welding and maintenance experience.
• Mining industry maintenance experience preferred.
• Welding certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication, welding, cutting, greasing, and shop/processing duties.
• Maximize equipment performance through repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Carry out diagnosis and repairs with limited supervision.
• Use electrical and pressure testing equipment per safety standards.
• Complete paperwork to maintain equipment and run plant per company standards.
• Erect processing equipment and repair mobile equipment.
• Conduct MSHA pre-shift safety inspections.
• Operate loaders and haul trucks safely as needed.
• Assist in training coworkers.
