Job summary

Amrize seeks an Electrical Engineer I for the Midlothian Cement Plant in TX. The role encompasses electrical maintenance, safety and compliance, and supporting control-system activities to maximize equipment reliability.

You will supervise technicians, drive preventive maintenance programs, document schematics, and contribute to PLC/control projects within a collaborative team environment. This position offers growth in a growing North American infrastructure company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Working knowledge of PLC programming and process control systems preferred.
• Experience in instrumentation, motors, starters and VFDs.
• Adherence to all safety protocols and use of Amrize PPE.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical and instrumentation technicians on daily work orders and projects.
• Conduct electrical preventive and predictive maintenance programs and collect/analyze data.
• Document electrical schematics and manage spare parts inventory.
• Ensure control system programming meets environmental compliance.
• Maintain system documentation and equipment files.
• Evaluate computer control equipment for plant requirements.
• Define and implement changes to process control programs.
• Provide control system training for plant personnel.
• Troubleshoot control system hardware/software issues.
• Support equipment/process modifications to improve reliability and reduce costs.
• Be on-call on a rotational basis.
