Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical maintenance, inspection, root-cause analysis and repairs of plant equipment at the Sparrows Point Cement Plant in MD.

This role requires 2–4 years in industrial maintenance, basic electrical knowledge, weld­ing certification preferred, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll read blueprints, align shafts and gears, service conveyors and dust collectors, and participate in safety programs.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years industrial maintenance experience required.
• Welding certification preferred.
• Knowledge of cement plant operations or heavy industrial environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Weld and cut components using blueprints or sketches.
• Repair conveyors, fans, reducers, and other cement-plant equipment.
• Read schematics and align shafts, motors, and gears.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
• Respond to call-outs during non-work hours when needed.
