Job summary

SCHUTZ CONTAINER SYSTEMS INC in North Carolina seeks a Maintenance Technician to safely perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, read blueprints, and coordinate with production, QA, and external contractors to maximize plant output.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, use power tools, weld as needed, and follow PPE and Lock-out/Tag-out protocols in a high-noise, dusty environment.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Follows safety protocols including PPE, SDS, Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO).
• Reads blueprints and technical manuals.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate controlled, high-noise environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating optimally.
• Inspect, repair and install machinery and equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with production, QA and maintenance teams to improve plant output and safety.
• Record data and report maintenance activities and issues.
