Job summary

DecoPac, Inc. in Fife, WA is seeking a Maintenance Tech to inspect, repair, and service machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures. The role ensures reliable operation of industrial equipment and preventative maintenance in a full-time position.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential for graveyard or weekend shifts. Candidates should have 2-3 years in a food production setting and be comfortable with safety protocols and basic diagnostics.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant experience required, within a food production environment preferred.
• Machine shop safety and welding/fabrication/construction skills.
• Understanding pneumatics, controls, hydraulics, vacuum systems, refrigeration.
• Experience with general plumbing and building repair.
• Industrial electrical work: single and three-phase motor controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Manage safety devices: lockout, tagout procedures.
• Forklift, manlift or electric scissor lift certification(s) desired.

Responsibilities

• Set up production equipment according to GMPs and SOPs.
• Assist engineers in developing or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
• Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production using precision tools.
• Keep production logs and provide progress or changeover reports.
• Set up and verify safety equipment functionality.
• Start up and shut down processing equipment.
• Identify and correct safety issues on equipment.
• Prioritize work orders and maintenance projects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
