Position Overview
We are seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician for our facility in Roberts, WI. Military service members and veterans are encouraged to apply.
Job Duties
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plant manufacturing equipment during production.
- Schedule and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on production equipment.
- Ensure safety guidelines are followed and properly documented.
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Perform general steel fabrication and welding.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals for repairs and servicing.
- Use hand and power tools, electric meters, welders, and torches for duties.
- Weld parts to equipment during repairs or installations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Obtain quotes for parts and supplies; install parts as needed.
- Communicate with vendors for maintenance and installation of equipment.
Work Environment
Work in indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures and noisy environments. Be aware of electrical hazards and moving machinery.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder.
- Lifting/carrying 10-40 pounds.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in plant manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Proactive, multi-tasking, self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.
- Strong hydraulic, mechanical, welding, and industrial skills, including hydraulic pumps, electric motors, conveyor belts, steel fabrication, and overhead cranes.
- Electrical license preferred but not required.
