Qualifications

• Education requirement: 1-year certificate or 3–6 months related experience, or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Listen for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions and discuss with supervisors.
• Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
• Schedule maintenance to avoid hindering production timelines.
• Coordinate repairs to assist production in meeting schedules.
• Install/repair electrical apparatus such as transformers and wiring.
• Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
• May perform non-maintenance duties temporarily.

Education
