Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to perform essential maintenance duties and operate basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Diagnoses problems by listening for unusual sounds and discusses operation variations with supervisors.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedules maintenance so production timelines are not hindered.
