Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. in Weiser, Idaho is seeking a Maintenance Worker to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and building systems.

The role performs inspections, dismantles and repairs, lubricates, schedules maintenance, coordinates repairs, and may perform non-maintenance duties. Education: one-year certificate or 3-6 months related experience. Company offers 401k, vacation, holidays, medical, Rx, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school.
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to diagnose problems.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedules maintenance so as not to hinder production timelines.
• Coordinates repairs to assist production teams in meeting schedules.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus and components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
• May perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.

Education

Job Title: Plant Maintenance Worker

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedule maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Coordinates repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• May be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.
