Vulcan Materials Company in Buckeye, AZ seeks a Plant Maintenance Technician to maintain site reliability through high-quality inspections, basic PM tasks, and routine maintenance with minimal supervision, including component replacement and proactive downtime reduction.

Key duties include equipment inspections, troubleshooting conveyors and pumps, welding and fabrication, keeping service logs, ordering parts, and enforcing MSHA/OSHA LOTO rules.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 to 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in the aggregate, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Familiar with heavy equipment commonly found in quarries (jaw/cone crushers, vibrating screen decks, material screws, heavy-duty pumps).
• Understanding of plant operations, processes, and performance goals.
• Knowledge of inspection procedures for critical areas of the site.
• Knowledge of routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting techniques.
• Understanding of larger maintenance tasks and repair processes.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, lubricate moving parts, and complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to prevent component failures.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components, including conveyor belts, idlers, pulleys, and water pumps.
• Perform structural repairs, welding, and grinding; replace heavy wear-parts such as crusher liners and shaker screens.
• Rebuild and fabricate parts.
• Record and maintain service logs, lubrication reports, and maintenance records for plant equipment.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment.
• Strictly adhere to MSHA and OSHA regulations, execute LOTO protocols, and maintain a hazard-free work area.
