Job summary

Koch Foods in Chattanooga, TN seeks a maintenance technician to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime in a fast-paced food processing environment. You will perform daily preventive and predictive maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, replace basic parts, and document work orders.

You’ll follow lock-out/tag-out procedures, maintain a clean shop, and contribute to a safety-focused culture with excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing equipment repair experience required.
• Ability to replace basic component parts on equipment.
• Mechanical diagnostics and repair experience.
• Knowledge of wire belt and plastic conveyor repairs, and sprocket alignment and installation.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to ensure equipment is operational.
• Perform daily preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment.
• Record and document maintenance performed.
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Exposure to damp, wet and cold environments.
• Regularly lift 25+ lbs.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
