Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Springfield, MO Retort Plant.

This hands-on leadership role oversees daily maintenance, develops a skilled team, and drives preventive and predictive maintenance to support a safe, efficient manufacturing environment. The position is on 1st shift and involves prioritizing work orders, implementing maintenance strategies, and ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• 2–5 years of maintenance or related experience with leadership aptitude.
• Electrical experience with motor control circuitry up to 480-volt 3 phase is required.
• Boiler experience is required; HVAC experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of ammonia systems is a plus.
• Certification or license in electrical, welding, boiler, refrigeration, or similar fields may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign daily jobs and work orders and provide clear directions to maintenance employees.
• Implement predictive/preventive maintenance program to extend asset life and reduce downtime.
• Use SAP to plan tasks with time, parts, and descriptions and manage downtime.
• Ensure maintenance staff understand work practices and procedures.
• Oversee repairs and maintenance of all plant equipment and keep records.
