Job summary

Empire Livestock LLC. seeks a Maintenance Supervisor for our Springfield, MO Retort Plant.

This hands-on leadership role oversees daily maintenance operations, guides a skilled team, and drives preventive/predictive maintenance to support a safe, efficient manufacturing environment. The role requires an undergraduate degree, 2–5 years in maintenance with leadership, and strong electrical, boiler, HVAC and ammonia systems experience.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (or equivalent).
• 2–5 years in maintenance with leadership.
• Electrical experience with 480V 3-phase motor control.
• PLC troubleshooting with Allen-Bradley (programming a plus).
• Boiler experience required.
• HVAC experience preferred.
• Ammonia systems knowledge a plus.
• Safety policy adherence and teamwork.
• Licenses/certifications in electrical, welding, refrigeration or plumbing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign daily jobs and oversee maintenance staff.
• Implement predictive/preventive maintenance programs.
• Use SAP for task planning with parts and descriptions.
• Oversee repairs and maintenance of plant equipment.
• Maintain records in CMMS/databases.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on breakdowns.
• Ensure spare parts inventory levels.
• Lead and mentor maintenance team; promote from within.
