Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at our Springfield, MO Retort Plant. This hands-on leadership role will oversee daily maintenance operations, lead and develop a skilled maintenance team, and drive preventive and predictive maintenance to support a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

You will utilize SAP for planning, manage downtime, and ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements while mentoring staff and promoting from within.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and 2–5 years in maintenance or a related role.
• Electrical experience with motor control circuitry up to 480-volt 3 phase is required.
• PLC troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley systems is desirable (programming is a plus).
• Boiler experience is required.
• HVAC experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of ammonia systems is a plus.
• Ability to lead and mentor a maintenance team and promote safety.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign daily maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Develop and implement predictive/preventive maintenance plans to reduce downtime.
• Use SAP to plan maintenance, materials, and downtime windows.
• Oversee repairs and maintenance of all plant equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and quality standards.
• Mentor and train maintenance staff and manage timekeeping and performance.
