Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Generalist for the Forest, MS facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure food safety.

It requires performing preventive and corrective maintenance and supporting equipment installations on the 2nd shift. The successful candidate will read manuals and schematics, maintain records, and use hand and power tools, forklifts, and lifts as trained.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience in the last 2 years.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Welding, cutting, fabrication, and minor electrical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety culture and comply with Tyson policies.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
• Repair motors, pumps, bearings, conveyors, and related components.
• Operate hand/power tools and equipment; assist with installations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
