Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a maintenance technician at our Forest, MS plant for the D Shift nights. You will perform general maintenance, weld and repair equipment, and follow Tyson safety policies to support continuous operations. Strong reading of drawings and ability to use hand and power tools are required.

Training and certifications may be provided as needed. Required is at least 1 year in maintenance, with 6 months ongoing work in the last 2 years, and ability to work in hot/cold environments

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of maintenance/mechanical experience.
• 6 months of continuous employment in the last 2 years.
• Certified to operate gas/hydraulic motors/lifts.
• Respirator qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant equipment while following Tyson policies.
• Use basic hand tools and a variety of power tools as required.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Monitor boilers or related systems and conduct routine tests when needed.
• Willingness to participate in training and certification updates.
