Tyson Foods in Carthage, MS is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment across the plant while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

You will work third shift, operate industrial equipment, and collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime. The role requires at least one year of maintenance experience and flexibility to work overtime and weekends.

Competenze

• Have 1 year of maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years.

Mansioni

• Preventively maintain, troubleshoot, repair, replace and alter defective equipment.
• Provide maintenance on complex production equipment.
• Control inventory and requisition appropriate parts.
• Perform maintenance checks on buildings and equipment.
• Maintain electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Operate industrial equipment (skyjack, forklift, boom lift).
• Comply with company safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform general equipment repair and installation of safety equipment when necessary.
• Team with production staff to encourage proper use and care of all equipment.
• Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
• Follow all required work safe practices including lockout-tag out, wearing required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements.
• Be willing to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds.
• Effectively work in a team environment.
• Have effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor.
