Job summary

Synthomer is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our Ohio plant to lead safety, maintenance planning, and reliability initiatives. You will collaborate with production, engineering and SHE to ensure compliant and cost-effective maintenance programs and shutdowns, while guiding BIM/RCFA analyses and budgeting across the site.

Ideal candidates bring a BS/technical degree or related associate, 5+ years in chem facility maintenance, strong leadership, and experience with ERP and PM processes.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering or associate techn. degree
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance in a chemical facility
• Process Safety Management knowledge
• Experience with ERP systems for work orders, inventory and PM tracking
• Experience with reliability-based maintenance and predictive maintenance technologies
• Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Promote safety, health and environmental compliance and drive continuous improvement
• Manage maintenance work planning and scheduling and set planning standards
• Ensure MOC and MI requirements align with PSM standards
• Identify opportunities for reliability improvement and cost reduction
• Oversee preventive maintenance program and PM procedures
• Assist with annual maintenance budgeting and monthly spend analysis
• Plan and execute plant shutdowns/turnarounds
• Manage facilities and contract services, including SAP CMMS usage
