Job summary

SunCoke Energy East Chicago location seeks a Maintenance Manager to champion reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance across plant operations. You will lead maintenance, budgeting, and PM programs while coordinating with production and capital teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 10 years in heavy industry with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Strong financial, planning, and CMMS Maximo experience are preferred to drive cost savings and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 10 years in heavy industry.
• At least 5 years in supervisory/management leading craft workers.
• Strong financial management and budget control experience.
• Experience with CMMS (Maximo) preferred.
• Ability to implement safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance teams to safely operate plant and meet regulatory requirements.
• Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance tasks within budget.
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets and capital plans.
• Monitor KPIs and drive cost savings initiatives.
• Ensure PM programs and inspections are completed.
